6:30 wake up and we’re off, it’s a 40 minute drive to Wisemans Ferry and we meet everyone at the carpark. Travel across the river by the ferry. Head right along the road to the start of the Old Convict Trail also known as the Great North Road.

Lincoln once said at a rough time during the Civil War: “This is a time for heroes to live in!” We may not be heroes, but we can be more than bumps on logs. I’m sure we have all heard of the butterfly effect, how a butterfly beating its wings in the Amazon causes a typhoon in Asia. Every pebble in a river affects the flow of that river. No, we may not be heroes, but we can be Christians.

Pastor Nigel's Thought of the week
I find coming to Epping Church on Sabbath both fun and uplifting. So it saddens me whenever I hear any excuse for not coming – and I’ve heard a few. One of the more common ones has to do with the church being full of hypocrites. Now the old-style hypocrite was a person who tried to appear better than he actually was; the new-style hypocrite tries to appear worse than he or she is. The irony is, if you ever found a church with no hypocrites – you wouldn’t fit in!
